Behind the Mask

Luke is a resident of the sparsely-populated southwestern corner of New York State. He has lived there for all 19 years of his life, and at the time seems to have no plans of moving anytime soon. He is a sophomore a community college, currently pursuing (drifting towards) an Associate's in computer science.

Life on the forum

Luke joined the forums at the very beginning of 2005, and has since obtained a history of spending far too much time there. He has created his fair share of pointless threads, although he has redeemed himself through game threads such as the twice-used Thesaurus Game and the Word Smush thread. Luke is directly responsible for the induction of Maui as a forum member. He holds no official rank or status on the forums (in fact, he's pretty sure half the regulars have no idea who he is), but that doesn't stop him from occasionally condescending people he apparently dislikes, such as stevethepirate. However, his most famous, frequent, and most ridiculed battles were more likely with since-disappeared forum member sp2 over the trivial subject of the quality of Coldplay's music.

Additionally, with his ridiculous postcount, Luke has earned the awe of some forum members who find it hard to believe that he could have racked up so many posts when he runs on an abysmally slow dial-up connection – his computer's internet communicates at an average speed of 24kpbs. The solution is, of course, to post from his school's LAN – not that he would ever browse the forums dring one of his classes, of course.

He is currently hosting a text adventure (Link) and the slow-going Telephone game.

Life off the forum

Luke works a part-time job at his community college, in which he tutors peer students, assists in the computer center, answers phones, and, as of this year, trains the new guys. He has also been working with some local producers, who are awesome people to work with. Who knows; he might have an album out someday.


Likes

People

Luke is currently stalking Ally, Mnementh, Yelley, Nihilist, and Est. Most of this is done on LiveJournal.

He also thinks that Ruyi is awesome for liking the music group Doves.

Additionally, Luke has had several spoogefests with Sam. Actually, they were probably keeping that a secret, but it's out in the open now!

Theatre

Luke is a thespian, and will willingly work either on the stage, behind the stage, or in front of / below the stage.

He has been in the following shows:

  • Joseph and the Technicolor Dreamcoat (on stage)
  • Oh, Captain! (orchestra – actually, he was the orchestra for that show)
  • Titanic (on stage)
  • Guys & Dolls (orchestra)
  • Bye Bye Birdie (on stage)

Luke likes girls.

Luke likes music too. I mean, good music – like Doves.


Dislikes

  • Being negative.
  • Stupidity.
  • Poor grammar.


Gabbly

Luke generally prefers to not have serious conversations on Gabbly. He tends more to use it as a curse against boredom. In previous Gabbly sessions, he has acted as one of the lowly-respected Gabbly Gods. He can also be pretty bad at times. Also, these stories still exist only in rumor, some believe that he has an alter ego as a Svedish Giant, and that he has the remarkable ability to spawn.
