Elcapitan

elcapitan was born at an early age, in a log cabin he helped his father build. 21 years later, he's still too short for his own good (5'6"), with greeny-blue eyes and brown hair. His life consists of climbing, working and partying, and sometimes studying for a double degree in Software Engineering and Applied Mathematics at the ANU (when he can find the time). He's an Aquarius. Writing in the third person makes his head spin after a while.
elcapitan plays guitar and listens to hip-hop, breaks, trance, drum'n'bass, rock, flamenco, classical, contemporary, and pretty much anything with a beat and/or a melody. He has been known to perform one-arm chin-ups with little or no provocation. He smokes too much, drinks too much, and has a Kryptonite-scale weakness for pretty ladies with red hair. He once won an international cross-country race in Winchester in England, running under the name Vlad and wearing his underwear on the outside. (Believe it or don't, it's still true).
It can safely be stated that elcapitan is one of the bravest members of the forum, with regards to everything except for girls. (See sack up).

Beard Status:
elcapitan had a beard for a month while backpacking around Spain in 2003. It didn't work out. More recently, he was seen sporting a white soulpatch. It didn't work out.
